Slap bang in the middle of Europe, the Czech Republic (or Czechia as it’s now known) is a perfect stop during a European jaunt. Its capital Prague is an exceptional city, with a sprawling Old Town, a winding river, picturesque hills and vibrant nightlife. Beyond the capital, beautiful fairy tale towns and Bohemian countryside await. You can’t afford not to stop here.
My Czechia Highlights
Here’s where I got to in Czechia. Click the destination name for related blog posts.

Prague
Probably one of Europe’s best cities, you could spend weeks getting lost in the winding cobbled streets of Prague’s humungous Old Town. Don’t forget to explore further afield though; there are several panoramic parks, an impressive castle and a series of hip neighbourhoods to explore here too.

Cesky Krumlov
Not too far from the Austrian border is this picture perfect town which looks as if it’s been lifted straight out of a fairy tale. Only 2 hours away from Prague, it makes for a perfect day trip or an overnight stay if the incredibly well-preserved architecture completely captivates you.

Karlovy Vary
A delightful spa town in the north of the country, Karlovy Vary offers a laidback, easy-going pace of life, whilst its location nestled within rolling hills makes it perfect for walkers or those looking to escape into nature and fresh air.
